About us

The male voice choir Walhalla zum Seidlwirt was founded at the end of 2014 by six students at the Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“ in Berlin. Their harmonious voices conquer hearts, move audiences to tears and inspire never ending joy. The young men from Walhalla zum Seidlwirt dedicate themselves to their art with passion and devotion. They are just so international (Turkish, Israeli, Austrian, Polish, French-Swiss, Bavarian), and this guarantees a natural and unique flair for their artistry.

And so what does Walhalla zum Seidlwirt stand for:

High brow or low brow music? No difference.

Conventional or unconventional? No category.

Locations? From… to… (from refugee homes and hospitals to the Konzerthaus Berlin (small hall) and the German Parliament building)

Musical partners? A few… (for example, with members of the Wiener Philharmoniker, Wiener  Symphoniker)

Repetoire?  Diverse. Ranging from classical music (Mozart, Schubert etc..), folk music (German, Austrian, Turkish, French etc…) to American songs and French chansons.

In addition to all this, the special international character of Walhalla zum Seidlwirt, is distinctly expressed in their acting and music-making. In brief, the saying e pluribus unum is made musically manifest in the performances of Walhalla zum Seidlwirt.
